Technique

An original work is created by a modelling in clay .

A cast of this one in silicone rubber allows by an electrochemical metallurgy - that is by the dissolving then the recrystallizing of a metal in watery solution under an electrical potential but not a thermal melting - the creation of a reproduction in copper of high hardness .

The surface of this piece , after the obtaining of a mirror polish , is cover up with an electrolytic deposit of nickel , next gold .

Of life-size , these sculptures weigh about 1 pound , for a maximal thickness of 1/15 inch .
